Many new memories have filled the past few weeks - starting with a weekend in Switzerland, and finishing with Christmas in Petts Wood!
My friend, Courtney, and I spent three glorious days exploring the corner of Switzerland/France/Germany. We stayed in Basel, but traveled to Zurich and Mulhouse, France. The highlights of the trip were most definitely the Christmas markets. You can really feel the spirit of Christmas while drinking mulled wine, listening to carols, feeling the cold bite at your face, and watching candles twinkle in the dark.

When I returned from Switzerland, I had a most lovely surprise waiting for me in my inbox - an email from a dear friend who happened to be visiting London! Spending time with her was such a sweet and unexpected Christmas present! (And a great excuse to go to the theatre, which I've been dying to do since I got here!)

Before I knew it, Christmas was here! Courtney had friends from home visiting, so the group of us escaped from the city to a neighboring town called Petts Wood. An old friend of Courtney's had a house there, which we took over and filled with festivities!
Now, only a few days remain in my favorite month of the year. Fortunately, one of those days is my birthday! And I already know one great adventure the new year will bring, as I will be traveling to Dubai and Qatar in a month's time for a conference. Crazy how God leads you when you let him, huh? Till next year!
Happy New Year!
